Video games are not only simple games for kids, but they have a great influence on individual and among the society. 

For the positive side, video-games are not only the great entertainment for individuals which they can act as different characters in the game, like heroes, sport players, soldier etc, doing the impossible thing in reality and starting the new life in the virtual world. Also they now become the teaching tool for children. Children can learn lot knowledge though playing computer game. Also, to attract young people to join the Army in USA, they put knowing how to play video war game as one of the recruitment requirement. And US army needs to attend the video war game training. I think it is a good and new way for the army to have war training, although video game training is not real situation, but it imitate the real environment, it simulate to the real condition of battle, and soldier can experience the war without hurting themselves. I think it is efficient and fun for the army. Another surprise is that, video game created a new career, which is the professional game player. People can gain money through wining the game competition. Just like the game player team in Korea in the movie, they become the superstar and earning living through playing games.

For the negative side, video games are full of excitement and satisfactory when people play it. And it is very easy for people to get addicted by it, especially teenagers. People who always play video game will tend to keep themselves far away from their parent. Some of the teenage will lock themselves in the room, they don’t work or go outside the house and they just playing games for the whole day. Some of the young people fully addicted by it and even commit suicide because they lose or unsatisfactory in the video game. The increase numbers of the commit suicide case, gave the negative effect to the society. Another point is that, many video game involved violence element. In the game, they play the role to kill enemies, fright the monster, when playing this kind of violence game, the aggressive emotion will be induced, and people will become more aggressive and easy to get anger. Moreover, there are a lot of gun shooting cases in USA’s school, and the killers are always student and they kill their schoolmate or teacher, because they affected by the violence video game. These make us concern more the bad effect of the video game.

According the movie, the professional medical experts use the advance equipment to test the brain activity of people who play the violence video game. And the result shows that the brain activity of the gamer will be more aggressive, they tend to have aggressive emotion and behavior and easy be violent. So when people who addicted to violent games, they will think that they are game’s character and they always holding the gun and try their best to shot people. Their intrinsic mind may think that they living in the virtual world, and killing can help them to solve problems. In the Extreme case, they will be come the killing machine, they don’t know they are playing the game or in the real world, they will become more violent. And finally got extreme, to kill the people with gun in the real world. Although, the expert can’t explain that the violence behaviors of people are really due to the video game, and there are many other reasons that can explain people become violent. But there have evidence that proved by the expert that there have aggressive affects in human’s brain when people playing violent game. And I think playing those games will have some effect on the aggressive values and anti-social actions in the real world. But other factors like people’s life experiences and background, personality, metal problem est. are also play the important role to cause the negative social actions.

I think the government should have the right to ban certain kind of games, like most violent and porn game that raise the negative effect to people’s mind. Since the main market of the video game are the teenage and kids, they are not mature enough to judge whether things are right or wrong. They might think that what their playing is cool and may be right, they will imitate that and bring it to the real living.  The over Violent game must have bad effect to people, so government should set some rule to not allow teenage to buy that kind of game.
